Good quality build with a high level of protection, this safe is real value for money.
The Wessex comes loaded with burglar-baffling devices, including re-locking devices giving protection against an explosive attack on the lock. It has precision made key locks that have open ended, notched levers affording resistance to lock picking. With probe arms severally positioned across the width of the lock, it is impossible to remove the lock bolt stump by drilling a single small hole.
The SMP Wessex Cash Safe comes in 3 sizes and has a suggested overnight cash insurance rating of £3000.

All refurbished safes leave our warehouse fully overhauled. They will have been completely stripped down, the locks and all re-locking devices serviced. Any worn parts within the safe or outside will have been replaced and the safe sanded back to the metal and re-painted. The standard colours we use are two shades of grey. A light grey, almost white, on the door, while the body is painted slightley darker.
Other colours are available at the customers request.

SMP Wessex Cash Safe Specifications
BODY: An inner and outer body 3.17mm thick B.S. 4360-43A steel are electrically welded together enclosing a high strength anti-penetration monolith. In addition there are 3.17mm hardened steel plates to all 5 sides to further protect against drilling. Overall it has a body thickness of 89mm.
DOOR: The door is constructed of 6.4mm steel outer and 3.2mm steel inner plates enclosing a 35mm anti-penetration monolith. There is an additional 6.4mm mounting plate over the locking area. Protection against drilling and burning is increased by the inclusion of a 13mm slab of Nichron Drill and Torch Resisting material over the entire door, which is thickened to 25mm to cover all locking and A.E.D (Anti-Explosive Device) areas. This DTR material is pyramid faced to deflect any drill attack. Granocrete nuggets are also included in the door to give further drill protection. The total thickness of the door is 112mm.
BOLTWORK: Both the moving bolts and fixed rear dog bolts are of 32mm diameter EN3B steel and lock securly into the inner lining.
LOCKING: The locking is usually provided by either the SMP S520 seven-lever key lock or a Sargent and Green Leaf 3-wheel keyless combination lock. The keylock has open ended, notched levers, affording resistance to lock picking. The probe arms are severally positioned across the width of the lock bolt and it is not possible to remove the lock bolt stump by drilling a single small hole.
RE-LOCKING: The safe is fitted with two randomly located active A.E.D.s. Each of these come on guard when the safe is locked, they are non-returnable once activated and permanently lock the boltwork. The A.E.D is protected by Cobal-Arc 4 weld metal. An additional passive A.E.D is activated if the safe is attacked by drill or torch, the positioning of this device is also random.
FLOOR ANCHORING: SMP safes all come prepared for anchoring to either concrete or wooden floors.
