All refurbished safes leave our warehouse fully overhauled. They will have been completely stripped down, the locks and all re-locking devices serviced. Any worn parts within the safe or outside will have been replaced and the safe sanded back to the metal and re-painted. The standard colours we use are two shades of grey. A light grey, almost white, on the door, while the body is painted slightley darker.

Other colours are available at the customers request.

Stratford Cashier Specifications

BODY: The inner and outer body are constructed from high grade steel electrically welded together to form one unit and filled with a solid reinforced fire resisting and anti-penetration material. The total protective metal thickness is not less than 10mm and the overall body thickness is 76mm.

DOOR: The door construction is based on a slab of special drill and blowtorch resistant alloy over the whole surface. Total protective metal thickness over vital areas not less than 25mm.

BOLTWORK: Moving round steel bolts locking behind a solid rebate frame secure the door on the front, top and bottom edges. The rear edge of the door is secured with fixed round bolts locking behind a similar rebate. The total number of bolts varies between 8 and 14 according to the safe size.

LOCKING: Standard locking by one nine lever lock with a double bitted key supplied in duplicate. Alternative locking by keyless combination lock.

RE-LOCKING: Active and passive re-locking devices are fitted to the door. A live re-locking device operates every time the safe is locked giving protection against explosive attacks. Passive devices are fitted randomly to the door one of which is heat sensitive which activates if the door is attacked by equipment such as a blowtorch. Also the lock is mounted on a sensitive plate which responds to any form of attack to the lock.

FLOOR ANCHORING: All safes come prepared for anchoring to either concrete or wooden floors.
