SMP Economy Safe

The inner and outer bodies are constructed from B.S. 4360-43A high quality steel, electrically welded to form one solid unit. The space between the inner and outer skin is packed with specially formulated concrete and fire resistant materials which form a solid monolith of anti-penetration materials against heat and force. The protective thickness of the five sided monolith is 89mm. Intumescent fire seals are set in the body aperture giving thermal protection between the body and door.
The SMP. Economy Safe comes in 5 sizes and has a suggested overnight cash insurance rating of £1500.

All refurbished safes leave our warehouse fully overhauled. They will have been completely stripped down, the locks and all re-locking devices serviced. Any worn parts within the safe or outside will have been replaced and the safe sanded back to the metal and re-painted. The standard colours we use are two shades of grey. A light grey, almost white, on the door, while the body is painted slightley darker.

Other colours are available at the customers request.

SMP Economy Safe Specifications

DOOR: 8mm steel plate with additional 3mm cyanide-hardened drill resisting plate over the locking area. The total thickness over the lock is not less than 18mm. Thermal insulation is included within the lock case pan.

LOCKING: High quality 7-lever anti-drill Willenhall lock / 2 keys.

BOLTWORK: 29mm diameter moving and fixed dog bolts.

FIRE PROTECTION: Fire tested to B.S. 476 Part 8 at temperatures approaching 900°C for a period of 30 minutes.

FLOOR ANCHORING: All SMP safes are prepared for anchoring to either concrete or wooden floors.

OPTIONS : 3-wheel combination lock. Shelving and Interior lockers.

DEPOSIT FACILITIES: There are 3 types of deposit facility for the Economy Safe, Drawer Type Trap (not 1412 or 1812 sizes), Rotary Trap (not 1412 or 1812 sizes) and Angled Deposit Capsule Tubes. Please note as with all refurbished safes, deposit facilities are subject to availability.
