The body of the 0400 Series is constructed from galvanised steel plate with a virtually airtight recessed curvature door. This specially designed door prevents fire and smoke damage to the contents of the safe. Furthermore each safe is insulated with an amazing fire resistant material that actually repels heat. The safe is secured by a high quality exclusive keylock.

In recent tests at the UK's leading independant research centre, Warrington Fire Research, a model 0402 registered an internal temperature rise of only 85° C after 90 minutes in the furnace at 1015° C. The critical temperature for paper records is 177° C at which point they char or combust. Therefore the model 0402 passed this test with a staggering 43% safety margin.
