Phoenix Firefile 2230 Series
The Phoenix Firefile 2230 Series, fire resistant vertical fire file cabinet has been engineered to withstand temperatures in excess of 1015°C for 90 minutes.
Every file meets and passes the Swedish NT FIRE 017-90 Paper fire test standard and the KIS Fire/Impact/Explosion Test. This requires not only fire endurance testing but also the ability to resist falling 30 feet undamaged, through a burning building. Furthermore, the firefile must withstand the explosive effect of gas or sudden exposure to critically accelerating temperatures.
The unique, light-weight specification developed for the aerospace industry uses state of the art multi-layered insulation. This material combines extremely low thermal conductivity with high thermal shock characteristics and, when encased in the rigid galvanised steel body, provides a file of great strength and fire resistance.
With weight savings of up to 40% when compared to its competitors, the Phoenix 2230 Series can be installed on upper floors, without the weight restriction somethimes imposed on heavier conventional fire resisting files. Styled to blend with any office environment, it is painted in an attractive, pale, white textured finish.
Available in standard two or four drawer versions, all models feature automatic locking with a single security lock acting on all drawers. Each drawer may be isolated to provide a combinaton of locked and unlocked drawers at any one time. We also realise how deceptive the actual weight of paper can be and ensure that each drawer is capable of carrying a colossal 100kgs of filing, way beyond the standard requirement.
Also available as a combination 'Mixed Media File'. Data media such as computer disks and tapes require added protection from heat and moisture, extending the firefiles capability to cater for this requirement is the media chest. This data protection unit, fitting neatly into the bottom drawer, provides for ease of use and ensures maximum protection for your invaluable data.
